We will be posting hours for when we are accepting corn, starting this fall.  Stay tuned!

Midwest's First Stop for Quality Grain Services

Midwest Commodity Service Inc. is a family owned corporation dealing in the buying, selling and storing of grain. The 2017 drying charges & discount schedules are in place and are located here. (Please note the two different drying/shrink schedules used depending on whether you plan to sell or store your grain. Take the time to familiarize yourself with the differences in the schedules).

Grain contracting options for your convenience at 5,000 minimum bushel increments:

Cash (Spot) The producer will receive the spot price at the time of delivery. The producer can choose to receive payment for their grain immediately or they may defer the payment until a later date.

Basis

Priced in two steps; the initial contract specifies the bushel amount, the delivery period and the “basis” as it relates to a particular futures option month. This contract allows the seller to partially lock in a future delivery price. The part of the price which is fixed is the basis. The futures price is to be set at a future date.

Forward Contract Allows a producer to pick a price for their grain for delivery in a future month. (i.e.: Price corn in July or August for delivery at harvest.)

If you intend to store or sell your grain, please call as far ahead as possible so we can have storage space set aside. If you need help with trucking please let us know and we will be happy to discuss options that are available.

We wish you much success in the upcoming harvest season and hope our services support your needs. We look forward to hearing from you.
